Brady P. Gleason is a director in Sterne Kessler’s Trial & Appellate Practice Group, focusing on complex intellectual property disputes in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and mechanical and chemical engineering fields. In addition to his work litigating disputes in federal district courts, Brady also has experience in matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. International Trade Commission in Section 337 investigations, and in inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Brady supports all phases of litigation, from the preparation of pleadings and defenses, to fact and expert discovery, dispositive motions practice, trial preparation and presentation, and through the exhaustion of appeals. He also works closely with in-house counsel, client leadership, scientists, industry experts, and expert witnesses on all litigation-related matters and other strategic initiatives on behalf of his clients.
Brady began his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Steven M. Wellner, Associate Judge, Superior Court of the District of Columbia, before serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Joseph R. Goodwin, United States District Judge, Southern District of West Virginia.
Brady received his J.D., magna cum laude, from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law with a concentration in intellectual property. During law school, he served as managing editor of the Catholic University Law Review, and he interned at the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Brady received his B.S. in biological sciences from Clemson University.
