Overview

Christopher F. “Chris” Huebner, Ph.D., is a patent agent in Sterne Kessler’s Electronics Practice Group. Chris helps clients protect their innovations in a wide array of technologies, including chemistry, life sciences, medical devices, mechanical devices, metals, optics, energy storage, polymers, coatings, energy efficiency, semiconductors, textiles, automotive, aerospace, energy harvesting, architecture, microfluidics, and physics.

Chris earned a B.S. in Physics, with a specialization in semiconductor nanofabrication and manufacturing, from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Continuing his semiconductor studies, Chris earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering, with a specialization in semiconductive organic materials, from Clemson University. Chris also earned a J.D. from Georgia State University’s College of Law.

Prior to joining Sterne Kessler, Chris was appointed to a postdoctoral fellowship at Georgia Tech developing advanced materials for lithium-ion battery and supercapacitor applications. While at Georgia Tech, he joined a start-up company and developed a pilot plant for increased production of lithium-ion battery anode materials. Chris later returned to Clemson University as a research assistant professor where he instituted a lab for functional ink formulation, processing, and printing. Chris has been practicing in patent application preparation and prosecution since 2016.
