Washington, D.C. (May 1, 2025) – Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox successfully helped secure denial of two PTAB inter partes review petitions filed against U.S. Patent Nos. 10,848,398 and 11,777,313 on behalf of patent owner Adaptive Spectrum and Signal Alignment, Inc. (ASSIA). The patents relate to improving wireless communication performance by, among other innovations, dynamically determining policies for applying adaptive algorithms based on performance feedback from communications units. The inventor, Dr. Wonjong Rhee was a founding member of ASSIA. Dr. Rhee worked alongside ASSIA founder Dr. John M. Cioffi, a National Medal of Technology and Innovation Award winner, and others to help build the company into a leading broadband company, whose innovations now enhance internet connectivity for over 120 million households worldwide.
