The Sterne Kessler team that won a jury verdict on behalf of Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals earned a shout-out in The American Lawyer’s Litigation Daily Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout-Outs list.

The patent infringement lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware against Airgas Therapeutics involved Mallinckrodt’s INOmax (nitric oxide for inhalation) drug product and associated nitric oxide delivery device. A Delaware jury found that Airgas infringed all seven asserted claims of the three patents and that Airgas’s infringement was willful. The jury awarded $9.5 million in damages for Airgas’s at-risk launch.
