Justin Wang is a student associate in Sterne Kessler’s Electronics Practice Group, where he assists in patent preparation and prosecution. His technical areas of expertise include artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining, bioinformatics, compilers, operating systems, and computer security.

Prior to joining Sterne Kessler, Justin worked as a bioinformatics researcher at University of California, Riverside. There, he developed a robust classifier for High Occupancy Target (HOT) regions using DNA sequences as training features and employed data analysis techniques for model interpretability.

Justin received his B.S. and M.S. in computer science from University of California, Riverside. During his graduate studies, Justin focused on machine learning systems, including time series forecasting models, sentiment analysis models, and generative artificial intelligence models. He also served as a teaching assistant for a data science course, where he mentored students through numerous data visualization and machine learning topics and projects.
