Sterne Kessler Directors Nirav Desai, Tracy Durkin, Ivy Estoesta, Monica Riva Talley, Counsel Lauriel Dalier and Dana Justus, and Associate Em Richardson attended the 2026 INTA Annual Meeting in London.

Ivy Estoesta also served as a moderator for the Table Topic, “Managing the Risky Business of When GenAI Creates, Copies, and Crosses Legal Lines in IP Law.” The discussion examined how generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) is rapidly reshaping the creation of designs, content, and trademarks, and the legal frameworks struggling to keep pace. Topics for discussion included: risks associated with using GenAI to generate works, including the protectability of AI-generated works under design, copyright, and trademark laws; risks associated with using protected works in the training of GenAI; and strategies for mitigating those risks.
