Shyam P. Pandula, Ph.D., is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Electronics Practice Group. His practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications. Shyam’s areas of expertise include wireless communications, Internet technologies and architectures, and statistical signal processing.

Prior to joining Sterne Kessler, Shyam was a faculty member in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at George Mason University, where he spent 12 years teaching courses on wireless communications and data networks. He served as the Director of M.S. in Telecommunications Program at George Mason from 2018 to 2020.

Shyam received his J.D. with specialization in Patent Law and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, both from George Mason University. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from R.V.R & J.C. College of Engineering in India. Shyam’s doctoral research focused on multi-antenna techniques for 4G wireless communication systems. He is a longtime member of IEEE.
