Jay B. Bober is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Electronics Practice Group. He assists in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications for electronics and software-related technologies. Jay has technical experience in telecommunications, optical imaging, and computer programming.

During law school, Jay worked as a Student Attorney at Georgetown’s Intellectual Property & Information Policy Clinic and served as the Co-President of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association.

Prior to law school, Jay studied solar flares as a research assistant at the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Center for Solar-Terrestrial Research, where he edited Python, MySQL, PHP, and HTML program codes for database and website maintenance. During his time at NJIT, Jay also was a Division I student-athlete on the Men’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams for three years. While interning at a consulting company, he investigated implementations for artificial intelligence and robotic process automation in risk management methods.

Jay received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and his B.S. in Applied Physics, magna cum laude, from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
