Benjamin Nagasing, Ph.D., is a student associate in Sterne Kessler’s Biotechnology and Chemical Practice Group, where he assists in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications as well as assisting in patentability, validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses. His technical areas of expertise include organic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, photocatalysis, and nanomaterials.

Ben received his Ph.D. in chemistry from Northwestern University, where his graduate research focused on utilizing quantum dots as photocatalysts in organic reactions such as C-C couplings and [2+2] cycloadditions. He also worked on the synthesis and characterization of aqueous organic dye aggregates and explored their applications in solar fuels production. Ben received his B.S. in chemistry with honors from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo.
