Benjamin Gitzinger is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Trial & Appellate Practice Group. At Georgetown University Law Center, Benjamin served as the Mentorship Director for Georgetown’s Student Intellectual Property Law Association. Benjamin worked for two years as an editor for the American Criminal Law Review and authored portions of the journal’s Annual Survey of White Collar Crime. Benjamin also worked for a time as a research assistant for Georgetown’s Institute for Technology Law & Policy.

Prior to law school, Benjamin received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin with highest honors. During his undergraduate studies, he focused on projects dealing with the design and manufacture of medical devices. His research ranged from prototyping renal irrigation catheters for non-invasive kidney stone removal to developing an inflatable silicone apparatus that could assist with the closure of congenital abdominal wall defects among infants.
