Sterne Kessler Earns Midsize Mansfield Certification

Washington, D.C. (May 23, 2023) – Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox is pleased to announce the firm has received Midsize Mansfield Certification. The firm is among more than 70 midsize law firms recognized for their commitment to diversity.

For 18 months, the firm’s leadership worked collaboratively with Diversity Lab to meet and document the Mansfield Certification requirements. “All of these certified firms stepped up as trailblazers to create more diverse and inclusive leaderships in the midsize firm sector,” said Alyssa Jarvis, Senior Manager of Mansfield at Diversity Lab.

An extension of the original Mansfield Rule that was geared toward large firms, the Midsize Certification enables law firms with fewer than 150 attorneys to measure whether their firm has “considered at least 30% women lawyers, underrepresented racial and ethnic lawyers, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitches, lateral lawyer hiring, and more.”
