Sterne Kessler client Shumate Engineering recently announced that the USPTO issued a critical functionality patent for their Hybrid-Dry/Adiabatic-Cooling (HD/AC) system.

In its press release, the company stated, “Shumate Engineering once again credits its intellectual property legal team at Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox for their strategic guidance in navigating this multi-phased patent process.” The company credited Sterne Kessler for IP guidance for another patent issued in July 2025. While the patent granted in July 2025 protected the physical design of the technology, this newly issued utility patent protects the core operational functionality of the system.

The Sterne Kessler team for Shumate Engineering includes Directors Graham Phero and Ian Soule and Counsel John Higgins.
