Foiled! Sterne Kessler Secures IPR Denials for Three Copper Foil Technology Patents

Washington, D.C. (April 28, 2025) – Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox secured denial of PTAB inter partes review petitions of U.S. Patent Nos. 10,480,090, 10,811,689 and 11,346,014 on behalf of patent owner SK nexilis Co., Ltd., Inc. The subject patents relate to electrolytic copper foil for secondary batteries, such as those used in electric vehicles. SK nexilis has long been a leader in the battery copper foil industry, with significant investment in the research and development of battery copper foil products.
