MIP International Women’s Leadership Forum

Director Tracy-Gene G. Durkin served as conference chair for Managing Intellectual Property’s 2019 International Women’s Leadership Forum in Chicago, Illinois, on September 12, 2019. In addition to serving as the conference chair, she also moderated an interactive breakout group on managing change.

Overview:
During these interactive group discussions, Tracy compiled a list of recommendations on how to improve the participant organization’s talent management and retention of women lawyers. Drawing on advice and experiences, participants discussed:

• Empowerment through mentoring & sponsorship; how to be a good mentor and understanding the value
• Embracing change and bringing your workplace up to date: How far have we come and where are we going
