Associate Roozbeh Gorgin was a moderator at the 2023 Robert E. Wone Judicial Clerkship & Internship Conference on October 28, 2023. During the conference, Roozbeh moderated a panel of judges from various state and federal administrative agencies and specialty courts. The panel discussed how individuals interested in clerkships and internships at these agencies and specialty courts can apply for these opportunities, and what type of work they would be expected to do.

2023 Robert E. Wone Judicial Clerkship & Internship Conference

The Wone Conference is an annual event that brings together judges and former clerks to provide minority law students with information about clerkships and internships in a wide range of tribunals—appellate, trial, federal, state, and administrative. For over fifteen years, the Wone Conference has drawn a diverse group of law students from the D.C. area who are eager to gain a better understanding of what it means to be a judicial law clerk or intern.

There will be four panels of judges from (1) federal and state appellate courts, (2) federal district courts, (3) state trial and superior courts, and (4) administrative and specialty courts. Distinguished panelists will include, among many others, Judge Florence Y. Pan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, Judge Ana C. Reyes of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and Judge Armando O. Bonilla of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. The day will conclude with a panel of former law clerks.
