2021 Design Patents Year in Review: Analysis and Trends

Director Tracy-Gene G. Durkin will moderate and Directors Ivy Clarice Estoesta, Daniel A. Gajewski, and Deirdre M. Wells will speak on the webinar “2021 Design Patents Year in Review: Analysis and Trends” on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. EST.

In conjunction with the forthcoming release of the firm’s inaugural year-in-review report, speakers will offer case summaries and analysis of particularly significant design patent updates and trends. Specifically, the moderator and panelists will discuss key 2021 cases involving design patents that were before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, U.S. District Courts, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the International Trade Commission. A look at design cases to watch in 2022 will also be explored. And because the design law landscape is constantly changing, the speakers will also provide timely updates on important developments in design law globally and the implications they have for IP holders and practitioners.
