Shaomeng Hou is a paralegal in Sterne Kessler’s Trial & Appellate Practice Group, where she primarily assists in patent litigation services. Prior to joining the firm, Shaomeng was an intellectual property intern where she specialized in conducting legal research for various firm-related projects, constructing PowerPoint presentations, and providing legal assistance. In addition, she is a co-author for the article, “What it Means that Russian Businesses Can Now Legally Steal Intellectual Property from ‘Unfriendly Countries,’” available on IPWatchdog, and “Strategic Continuation Practice: An Under-Used Litigation Tool,” featured on IAM.

Shaomeng attended Indiana University Bloomington, where she earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in English and a minor in Political Science. She graduated from the Hutton Honors College and achieved recognition on the Executive Dean’s List.
