Sahar A. Ahmed is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Trademark & Brand Protection Practice where she focuses on trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement domestically and internationally. Sahar has significant experience in developing solutions and strategies related to federal district court anti-counterfeiting proceedings. She also handles a variety of other brand enforcement matters including drafting and filing complaints under ICANN’s Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy.
Prior to law school, Sahar was a paralegal in Sterne Kessler’s Electronics Practice Group where she performed a wide range of duties in support of patent prosecution services and proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and International Trade Commission (ITC).
Before joining Sterne Kessler, Sahar worked as a patent prosecution specialist at an intellectual property firm where she prepared and filed new applications with the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
While in law school at American University Washington College of Law, Sahar served as Senior Articles Editor of the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law. Sahar received her B.A. in psychology from The George Washington University.
