Rob Stout is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Trial & Appellate Practice Group. His practice focuses on patent litigation in the United States District Courts and inter partes matters before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, with a particular focus on cases arising under the Hatch-Waxman Act. Rob further has patent litigation experience with a diverse array of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, telecommunications, electronics, and computer software.
Rob graduated from Georgetown University Law Center where he worked as a research assistant in the school’s library. During law school, he interned for the Honorable Kathleen M. O’Malley, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and in the legal department at National Public Radio in Washington, D.C.
Prior to law school, Rob gained experience as a paralegal assistant in a foreign filing department. He received his B.S., cum laude, in physics and political science from Syracuse University.
