Patrick M. Rehfuss is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Biotechnology & Chemical Practice Group. He is primarily involved in supporting the prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications. Patrick's technical areas of expertise include biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, and recombinant DNA technology.
During law school and prior to joining Sterne Kessler, Patrick worked at a biotech company where he assisted with patent preparation and prosecution for both small molecules and biologics. Patrick also has experience reviewing material transfer agreements and licensing agreements.
Patrick received his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law where he took courses in patent law and FDA regulatory law. He received his M.S. in biotechnology from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA where he was involved in mitochondrial research, and his B.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology from The Pennsylvania State University.
