Michelle A. Guo is a paralegal in Sterne Kessler’s Mechanical & Design Practice Group, where she primarily supports the prosecution of U.S. and foreign design patent applications.
Prior to joining the firm, Michelle interned at the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office where she gained legal administrative experience in the Economic Fraud and Rackets Bureau. While studying in Washington, D.C., she worked at NeighborWorks America as a Race, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion intern, and at National Defense University doing research on foreign affairs and migrants. She has also written branding and corporate communications articles for London-based Transform and Communicate magazines. Additionally, she gained design software experience while working at New York-based architecture, planning and interior design firm, CetraRuddy, assisting the design of public and residential projects in Manhattan and India throughout all project construction phases.
Michelle received her B.A. in economics and international relations with a minor in architecture from Syracuse University, where she was also a member of the National Model United Nations team and a peer mentor for the Creativity, Entrepreneurship and Innovation learning community. She has presented her international relations research at the University of Pennsylvania and was elected to serve in the Syracuse student government.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys putting together her photography portfolio, volunteering to design and promote local arts & crafts in her neighborhood, attending concerts and getting involved in the local community. She also enjoys traveling and has visited more than 27 countries and 32 states.
