Masayuki Iino is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Electronics Practice Group. His technical areas of expertise include machine learning, multivariate analysis, A.I. technology, display technology, video codec, video cable, network technology, user interface, enclosure design of electronic equipment, mechanical engineering, electronic circuit board, embedded software, application software, facial recognition, human detection, GPS technology, wireless technology, optical technology, and memory technology.

Masayuki has in-depth knowledge of the prosecution and utilization of standard essential patents (SEP). He is experienced in SEP portfolio management, including HDMI standard, television signal standard, video codec standards (HEVC and AV1), and SD Memory Card.

Prior to joining the firm, Masayuki was an in-house Japan Patent Attorney at Panasonic Corporation. In addition to his SEP patent management experience, he has over 10 years of experience in prosecution, litigation, patent sales, and patent strategy development.
