Louis P. Panzica, Jr. is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Biotechnology & Chemical Practice Group. Louis’ technical areas of expertise includes genetics, molecular and cellular biology, immunology, virology, and DNA/RNA technology.
Louis earned his M.S. in the Cancer Sciences Program at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, offered through a collaboration with the University at Buffalo. While working in the Genetics Department, Louis researched targetable molecular pathways for interfering with the metastatic potential of breast cancer cells that disseminated from primary tumors. In particular, Louis focused on a signaling pathway that regulates dormancy and proliferation of breast cancer tumor cells in the bone marrow.
Louis received his J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law, with a concentration in IP and Privacy Law. While attending law school, Louis assisted in the commercialization of various inventions through his work in a Technology Transfer Office. He earned his B.S. in molecular genetics form State University of New York at Fredonia.
