Katherine “Kate” Bishop is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Trial and Appellate Group. Kate graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School with a certificate in Strategic Innovation. While attending law school, Kate conducted research for the intellectual property faculty on generative AI and copyright law. In addition to research, Kate also participated in Wisconsin’s Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic, where she assisted Madison-area startups in trademark prosecution and business formation matters.
As a law school student, Kate served as a Judicial Intern for the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. She was also a managing editor for the Wisconsin International Law Journal, and President of the Technology and Intellectual Property Student Organization.
Kate received her B.A. in economics and political science from the University of Redlands. Prior to law school, she spent six years in manufacturing operations, working on product development and strategy.
