Johnathan Lindsey is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Electronics Practice Group. His practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. patent applications. His technical areas of expertise include electronics, communications, software, and business methods.
Before joining Sterne Kessler, Johnathan worked for nearly a decade as a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). At the USPTO, he evaluated patent applications spanning various technology areas, including social networking, the Internet of Things, machine learning, and blockchain applications.
Johnathan received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where he served as an executive editor for the Journal of International Law. He additionally received a master’s degree in bioethics (MBE) from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, a S.M. in technology and policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.E. in computer engineering, magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University. Johnathan has also earned the Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) credential.
