Hadia Ahsan is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Trial & Appellate Group. Hadia joined the firm as a summer associate after her first year of law school and returned to the firm after graduation. During her tenure at Sterne Kessler, she has assisted on patent litigation matters across a broad range of technologies in federal district court.
Before law school, Hadia worked as a researcher at the Stanford University Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine. Her research involved using human embryonic stem cells to model early neural development in vitro. She earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology from the University of California, San Diego, and completed minors in history and law & society.
While in law school, Hadia was a student attorney at the Family Justice Clinic of the Harvard Law School Legal Services Center, which provides free representation to low-income individuals and families in various matters including divorces, abuse prevention orders, and investigations by the Department of Children and Families. She also worked in New Orleans, Louisiana, at the Center for Social Justice, assisting with the representation of individuals facing or sentenced to death.
