Alexa Lazea is a paralegal in Sterne Kessler’s Mechanical & Design and Biotechnology & Chemical Practice Groups, where she supports the prosecution of U.S. and foreign design patent applications, U.S. utility applications, and inter partes review petitions.
Prior to joining the firm as a paralegal in 2016, Alexa was a paralegal intern for the San Diego District Attorney's Office where she supported the Insurance Fraud Division in a number of cases prosecuting Premium and Worker's Compensation Fraud.
While in school, Alexa worked as a research assistant in an organometallic lab researching amine-directed C-H borylation. She was selected to present a poster at the American Chemical Society 2014 Fall Conference in San Francisco, California relating to her research of the functionalization and optimization of boronic acids.
Alexa is an American Bar Association certificated paralegal in the state of California and received her B.A. in chemistry at the University of San Diego.
