Overview

Ivy Attenborough is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Mechanical & Design Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2022 as a summer associate where she assisted in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, copyright applications, and trademark prosecution.

During her time in law school, Ivy gained diverse internship experience from a wide range of industries, including tenures with a firearms manufacturer, a multinational software company, and a molecular modeling software company where she worked in academic licensing.

Ivy rejoined the firm as a law clerk during her final year of law school. She earned her J.D. with a Certificate in Intellectual Property from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law and her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Temple University. Ivy held several leadership positions during law school, including serving as president of the Patent Law Forum, president of the Student Bar Association, and notes editor of IDEA®: The Law Review of the Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property. At Temple University, Ivy focused on automotive crashworthiness and impact testing. For her senior design capstone, she developed a spent coffee ground biochar water filter for home use lead filtration.
