Overview

Adil B. Moghal, Ph.D. is an associate in Sterne Kessler’s Biotechnology & Chemical Practice Group. His practice focuses primarily on global prosecution of biotechnology patent applications and patent litigation in United States district courts.

Adil completed his graduate work in the lab of Dr. Michael Ibba. Adil was awarded two distinct National Institutes of Health pre-doctoral fellowships through university graduate training programs: the Chemistry-Biology Interface Program and the Cellular, Molecular and Biochemical Sciences Program. Adil’s research focused on the kinetic and catalytic quality control mechanisms used by aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases to modulate the rate of errors in ribosomal protein synthesis.

During graduate school and law school, Adil worked for The Ohio State University’s Technology Commercialization Office, where he served as a due diligence associate, performing technical analysis for hundreds of biotechnology invention disclosures from university professors.
