In this article, David K.S. Cornwell and Kyle E. Conklin discuss the Supreme Court's ruling in Nautilus, Inc. v. Biosig Instruments, Inc, and its effect on medical device patents. The authors write, "In Nautilus, the Supreme Court lowered the standard for finding claims indefinite and, thus, made it easier to invalidate a patent. The Nautilus decision has many implications on the medical device community."
