In this article, Donald J. Featherstone, Raymond J. Werner, and Christian A. Camarce, along with co-author Susan E. Cullen, examine developments in flexible display technology that are expected to create significant new market opportunities for consumer electronic and commercial products. The authors describe the patent landscape for flexible displays and explore ways in which newly enacted changes in patent law can facilitate the development of flexible display patent portfolios.
