"More federal dollars for research and development in areas where Black science and engineering graduates live could help increase the number of Black inventors who own patents, Brookings senior fellow Andre Perry said.

'Not investing in Black talent has always been a harmful moral failure,' Perry said at a webinar hosted by Sterne Kessler Goldstein & Fox. 'An economy built on exclusivity has proven to be a house of cards.'"

Perry, senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. Director and Co-Chair of Sterne Kessler's Diversity and Inclusion Committee Gaby L. Longsworth, Ph.D., served as moderator.
