WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 15, 2017) – Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox P.L.L.C. is pleased to announce that the firm is the recipient of multiple awards from the Leaders League’s International Legal Alliance Summit and Awards (ILASA). For the second consecutive year, Sterne Kessler received the silver award for “Best USA IP Firm: Patent Prosecution” at the ILASA’s annual International Law Firm Awards Gala Dinner held in New York. The firm also received the silver award in the category “Best USA Firm: Patent Litigation.”

The ILASA awardees were selected from both the corporate and legal sectors by judges from in-house counsels of major international companies. Joseph Mutschelknaus, a director in the firm’s Electronics Group, attended the ceremony and accepted the awards on behalf of the firm.

In addition to the firm awards, several Sterne Kessler directors were individually recognized as leading attorneys in their respective practice areas:

  • Michael Ray, Carla Kim and Michael Messinger were ranked in the tier one category for excellence in patent prosecution.
  • Robert Sterne was recognized as a “highly recommended” leading partner in patent litigation.
  • Jorge Goldstein was recognized as a “highly recommended” leading partner in life sciences.

The ILASA awards recognize the best general practice law firms and IP specialty firms in their domestic market for their excellent annual results and lasting performance in management and leadership. The awards received by Sterne Kessler are indicative of the firm’s consistent preeminence in patent prosecution, patent litigation and the life sciences space.
