Sterne Kessler and Tracy-Gene Durkin Receive 2026 WBA Foundation Champion Award

Washington, D.C. (March 11, 2026) – Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox and Director Tracy-Gene Durkin have been recognized with the 2026 Women’s Bar Association (WBA) Foundation Champion Award. Since 2022, this award recognizes a devoted individual or organization that has made significant contributions to the Foundation’s mission of providing grants to nonprofits serving the legal needs of women and girls in the D.C. Metro area.

Durkin served on the WBA Foundation Board of Directors from 2007 to 2013 and as its president from 2010 to 2012. During her tenure, the Foundation celebrated its 30th anniversary and launched “Uniting for Justice,” a fundraising campaign to deepen the Foundation’s impact and to strengthen the work of grantees. Sterne Kessler has supported the Foundation both as an event venue and financial benefactor. For many years, the firm’s Charitable Committee selected the Foundation as one of its nonprofit organizations to receive financial support. The firm has also provided pro bono services to the Foundation.
