Most recent vacation spot: Valencia, Spain was our most recent family vacation spot. My husband, three daughters and I enjoyed the food, culture, and extraordinary scenery. A particular highlight was the time we spent exploring Costa Blanca, the Mediterranean coast line south of Valencia, including hiking and discovering small villages and towns.

Content recs (show, book, podcast) – one business/legal related and one fun:

Business: Thanks to our firm Manager of Research (i.e. “librarian), I get a daily email with curated content based on my areas of interest, including links to a variety of news articles, blogs, etc. that provide timely and informative content relevant to my daily scope.

Personal: I listen to “The Daily,” the New York Times podcast that explores leading news stories at a deep level. On the lighter, but super relevant side, I enjoy the Julia Louis-Dreyfus podcast called “Wiser than Me” which features older women sharing sage advice based on their interesting and compelling life experience.

Dream non-law/business career: If I wasn’t a lawyer, I would have loved to be an architect.

How has AI changed your job to date? What do you expect from AI in the coming 12 months? AI hasn’t really changed my job yet, but I am spending significant time keeping up with the developments in this technology and how it is/will impact the legal arena in the near and long term.

Other than AI issues, describe the biggest challenge for corporate counsel at the moment? Cyber security and privacy continue to be one of the risk areas of focus and a challenge for all businesses. The risks and prophylactic measures that are available in this realm continue to evolve, and corporate counsel has the difficult and unavoidable task of keeping up with it.
