Law360 spoke to Sterne Kessler director Daniel Block about the investments law firms are making into building their own proprietary AI tools.

Block noted that firm’s building these AI tools need to be aware of not only the size of their investment, but how widely the tools are adopted to assess their impact. “If I were going to be thinking about how I would be ranking law firms, or how I would be thinking about how AI-forward a particular law firm is, I’d really be thinking about it from an adoption perspective, more so than I would in terms of how much money you spend on it.”
