CIPA Congress 2025: AI and IP

Sterne Kessler Director Michelle Holoubek spoke on the “How to Draft International Applications for Inventions with AI Features” panel during the CIPA Congress 2025: AI and IP in Bristol, United Kingdom, on October 9, 2025.

The panelists from Europe, the USA, Japan, and China compared the relevant guidelines present in each jurisdiction, with a focus on the impending decision from the UK Supreme Court. They also considered how to approach drafting and prosecuting patents for AI inventions in different jurisdictions, meeting the local practice requirements, law, and guidelines.
