Director Robert Greene Sterne will participate as a panelist in “Big vs. Small: Perspectives on IP and IP Strategy,” hosted by the International Intellectual Property Commercialization Council (IIPCC) on September 29, 2020. This virtual presentation will explore both small company and large company perspectives on the importance of developing and maintaining IP as part of an IP strategy.

Conventional wisdom states that intellectual property (IP) protection is essential for companies. However, its value depends on how and when it will be used, and for that reason, determining the worth (and future worth) of IP has sometimes been described as “valuing fine art.” IP valuation and the investment decisions tied to IP protection vary by company size, largely due to the business forces shaping them.
