Super Lawyers recently honored Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox attorneys in its 2014 Washington, DC edition. The rating service selects outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Four Sterne Kessler Directors were selected as ‘Super Lawyers’ and five Sterne Kessler attorneys were named ‘Rising Stars.’

Jorge Goldstein, Ph.D. and Robert Greene Sterne were named ‘Super Lawyers’ in the intellectual property and intellectual property litigation categories. Mark Fox Evens was also named a ‘Super Lawyer’ in intellectual property litigation and government contracts. Keeto Sabharwal was named a ‘Super Lawyer’ in intellectual property litigation and health care. In addition, Richard Hadorn, Byron Pickard, and Paul Ainsworth were chosen as ‘Rising Stars’ in intellectual property litigation. Nirav Desai was chosen as a ‘Rising Star’ in the intellectual property category and Dennies Varughese was named a ‘Rising Star’ in intellectual property litigation and food and drugs.

Super Lawyers selects attorneys using peer nominations and evaluations combined with third party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process for the ‘Rising Stars’ list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.
