WASHINGTON, DC (May 5, 2016) – Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox is pleased to announce that four of its directors have been named to the Managing Intellectual Property – IP STARS list of the “Top 250 Women in IP.” The list distinguishes the most accomplished female IP practitioners around the world.

Recognized in the 2016 edition are directors: Tracy-Gene G. Durkin, Eldora L. Ellison, Ph.D., Lori Gordon, and Monica Riva Talley. Sterne Kessler is the only Washington, D.C. – based firm to have four attorneys ranked on this prestigious list. As noted by the editors of MIP, “Since its inception, this list has been dedicated to the recognition of accomplished female IP practitioners in the United States. This year’s addition takes into consideration female IP practitioners from across the globe.”

Further, the editors explain, “Our research process for the Top250 list spanned four months – from November 2015 to February 2016. The research comprised interviews and surveys. Among those interviewed, a small number [of IP practitioners] was chosen to be included in the final list this year. Together, these practitioners handle a broad range of IP work, including legal advice, litigation, prosecution and portfolio management, and their clients range in size and prominence from internationally recognized companies to start-ups.”
