Apple Gets Claims Cut From PersonalWeb’s Data Patent

On Wednesday, March 25, 2015, decisions in the Apple Inc. v. PersonalWeb Technologies LLC inter partes review (case number IPR 2013-00596) were announced. The USPTO nixed several claims in a PersonalWeb Technologies LLC data patent, while the Patent Trial and Appeal Board ruled in favor of Apple Inc. David K.S. Cornwell and Mark W. Rygiel were part of the representation team for Apple Inc.
